Kids Day

What a Great Time

 We Had!

Painted faces, ice cream, squirt guns, sunshine and kids; the perfect summer day at the Boonville Farmers Market!  At Thursday’s Farmer’s Market, the market was filled with kids with butterflies painted on their faces, traces of Mercers ice cream around their mouths and smiles on their faces.  Also on hand for Kids Day was the Boonville Fire Department who provided one of their ambulances for the kids to tour. To promote child safety, the  Boonville Police Department were there with fingerprinting and identification kits to parents and children to keep in the case of an emergency.

This special day for kids would not have been possible without the generosity of Mercers Dairy who donated the ice cream, Big M Market who donated the toppings, the Boonville Fair Association, NYS Woodsmen’s Association, Burger King and the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari for the tickets, Boonville Fire Dept. and Boonville Police Dept. The Marine Corps League for use of their tents and especially mother nature for giving us the perfect summer day!”

This little girl wanted a ladybug
painted on her face

Kids, kids and more kids, playing games, blowing bubbles, getting their faces painted and drawing on the old walls of the milk plant.

Lance Allen had a lightning bolt painted on his face.

These two got a chance to draw on the walls and not get into any trouble!

The ice-cream booth was a busy place to be!

An ice-cream sudae and a
squirt gun around his neck made
this little guy happy.

Could that be twins getting their faces painted?

Boonville Fire Department Ambulance was on hand to let the kids investigate their rig. There was even an occasional siren blowing on request.

Boonville Police Department was there to finger print ID the kids and talk to them about safety.

Could this be a budding artist?  I think so!

It was all fun and games for this little
pony-tailed girl.
